.done: A Name for Work You Can Hand Over
Someone asks for the finished version.
You send a link. They have what they need to get on with their part.
If you're building an agent or service around that handover, .done is a Handshake extension to consider. It's open for registration on HeadlessDomains.com, for service delivery, project portfolios, and tools that help get work finished.
Leave something people can use
Suppose an agent helps you prepare a welcome pack for an event. It gathers the schedule, directions, and details attendees will need. You check it, approve the version to share, and send it out.
A week later, someone needs the pack again. They should have a clear route to the current version, without searching through the conversation where you first sent it.
A .done name can point to the project or service behind that work, with links to the finished materials wherever you keep them. It can also suit a portfolio of delivered projects or a tool that helps you complete the next job.
Choose the name around what comes back
The .done product page uses project.done, tasks.done, and delivery.done to show the format. They are examples, not names confirmed available to register.
For yours, think about what someone will come looking for. Perhaps it's the official place to find a project's delivered materials. Or it's the service they return to when they need another job completed.
A delivery service can handle a sequence of jobs. Its .done name can describe that continuing work, with each finished result available through the service.
When you share the name, include a finished example people have permission to see. Let them open it and judge whether the work is useful.
Keep the finished version easy to find
For the event pack, identify the version attendees should use and say when it was updated. If the schedule changes, keep the current link clear so someone doesn't plan their day from an old copy.
Public records can describe the service and direct an authorized person to its materials. Keep private files behind their access controls.
The name itself doesn't confirm that a job is complete. You still need to check the work and say what has been handed over. The after-registration guide covers setting up the public identity and useful service links.
.done belongs to the Handshake naming system, separate from ICANN extensions. HeadlessDomains.com and SkyInclude maintain API and command-line infrastructure that lets compatible agents inspect headless names and find connected services without requiring browser-native resolution. Registering the name doesn't host your files or run the delivery service.
